Amélie's Homily on Proposal #1 1/2

The project consists of designing a system of decks that have a future. By this we mean that this would be the foundation of a volumetric remodeling of the house that Nick sees as too flat.
The pair of extensions would create and aesthetic boob job to improve on the house silhouette while pushing the rain water away from the roof and close perimeter of the house.

The blog will contain as many proposals as are needed to satisfy the occupants, Nick and Kathy. Under each blog we need criticism and suggestions, polite disagreement to violent admonitions of the ideas defended.

This will accelerate the process towards solutions that are near perfect. We mean by this designs that are good looking, practical, maintenance-free, low-cost, solid, code compliant, quick to build and fun to use.
